A little snippet of the #foodforthought project written by me for @Be_greatfitness featured on actual @ITVCentral this week.. Big thank you to @lincoln_college for allowing the cameras in to watch this being delivered.
Very strange seing my resources on the telly! ๐บ #edchat
Had a lovely trip to @hubsleaford with my @BGULincoln #PGCE secondary trainees today.. Thank you to Sarah for taking the time to explain all of the different resources, workshops and learning opportunities at the centre โบ๏ธ
I definitely have that โlived experienceโ thing that everyone bangs on about these days and I have used this to crate 2 FREE survival guides to help you and your students feel able to take on the pressures of term 5 & 6 ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ป #edchat#wellbeing PLS RT X

The Easter break is the perfect time to rest, reflect & create a plan of attack to survive the summer term: Small changes really do add up to make such a big difference in outcomes - not just in terms of the grades on the paper but also the well being and sanity of your team too
Didn't get many photos but today has been fab.. Helping trainees from other subjects develop their creativity. We have had games for revision in PE, D&D Macbeth, respiratory system modelling, monopoly inspired History games, giant Maths LOTR style maps.. & lots more! @BGULincoln
Just finished making and printing our lovely new A Level Art and A Level Photography booklets, ready for our sixth form open evening tomorrow. Looking forward to sharing these with students and parents ๐
@thosethatcan Creativity, good sense of humour & lived experience of the 'system'..I have seen/worked with some AMAZING teachers who had a vivid experience at school. Whether it was a moment where someone supported their additional needs or they weren't & they want to be THAT person for others
@debrakidd Yup.. Instead, maybe have a conversation and try to understand them. My Ruby still remembers the 1 person who did that. Was still too little, too late and we pulled her out anyway. Doesn't hurt to imagine what it's like in their shoes sometimes.
Soo.. Thinking of writing a contemporary ref book for Art/textiles teachers.. Kinda like a physical version of my old blog/directory/Pinterest boards.. Full of artist inspo, ideas for themes & contextual refs etc.. A 'go to' for students & teachers #teamart what do you think?
Happy customers this afternoon.. Trainee absolutely smashed his obs (genuinely, if someone needs a DT teacher, he's fab!).. was also lovely to tell the SBM what an awesome job she has done, especially as she is a new mentor & a @BGULincoln #PGCE alumni herself ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Should also add that I had the unique pleasure of teaching this student beyond GCSE/A level when he came to college for Art Foundation.
Was proof (if ever it was needed) that a personal, well thought out support package at KS4 was the grounding needed for progression
Had a dig into my planning archives for my session on effective support at KS4 & personalised learning ..found this little gem ๐

Teachers of twitter.. Could I beg a favour in the name of research? Vote for your 'go to' snack at work please - If you could add any other foodie options in the comments that would be fab. thank you x
PLS RT #edchat@ukedchat
Hi all.. Am doing some secondary Ed resources development work as part of my @eatmoregoodstuff job.. Could do with some help. If that's ok?
How long are your school assemblies?
Would a ready made package of 'health/wellness' resources and lessons be useful for you?
Pls RT x
