Some days you have to meet your kids where they are at and stop in the middle of the lesson and do some Halloween yoga. That’s what was needed today so that’s what we did and it might have been the most productive phonics lesson all year. #callowayschools @SouthwestLaker

The last few days have been so insightful for our kids. They were able to hear from a vet yesterday. Today we heard from @CCPLGreatStuff who brought books for the kids. Thankful for the vets and librarians in our community. @SouthwestLaker @CallowaySchools

Community helper week is always a highlight for us. Today we enjoyed hearing from our very own nurse @trhryan about how she is a community helper and what tools she uses. It was a great way to kick off the week! @CallowaySchools @SouthwestLaker

We had a great afternoon wrapping up our unit on our five senses with a popcorn taste test. After charting our senses we popped our own popcorn and tried butter, caramel, and white cheddar to see which one was our favorite.🍿 @SouthwestLaker @CallowaySchools

Today we read the book “I Promise” by @KingJames. It was the perfect book to make a class pledge with. We chose our favorite quotes from the book and all signed to be the best ME we can be! This class is going to go places! #wepromise @SouthwestLaker @CallowaySchools
