@mrs_frommert@PBSKIDS@sesamestreet My kid is super into monster trucks right now and I was pleasantly surprised by the math and physics (!) for preschoolers in Blaze & the Monster Machines. We watch it on Amazon Prime video.
Hey @HomeGoods, there’s no possible way to make your products look cute for gifts when your price stickers require industrial-grade adhesive solvent to remove. Ugh.
@mathhombre@shskaercher Thank you! They weren’t too hard. Look up “ullagami” on YouTube–they were “suggested” as I was rewatching @mathycathy’s video for making the Sierpinski fractal one and I couldn’t resist. The templates are free in the description. :)
When I was pregnant, I had a student that would ask me weekly if I was going to name the baby “Quadratic Function.” I would always laugh and say no. One day she was like “I really don’t know why not. You could call it Q. Funky for short.” 🤔😂😂

@Omnikitsune1@robertwakulat@BearatDusk @TempoWrites So interesting. I mean, some people must listen because people have been missionaries since… forever. But I just can’t fathom someone coming to my door, selling religion, and buying it, you know? I’d love to read more about the types of people that do!
@rpetitto@HowtoADHD This is *exactly* how I experience it. I can remember things that happened in the “long-term past” but have no idea when they happened. The “short-term past” I can’t remember at all without the written reminders. Everything else is “not yet” or “right now.” Nailed it.
@MathByTheMt This is what I use. Sorry for the bad screenshot! I think I slightly edited someone else’s scale? But I loved this wording for my standards based grading.
@EvansMontoya @unprocast Good god, a two hour commute? And here I thought I was getting up real early at 4:30 just so I could sit in silence and drink coffee while the kids sleep.
@LadyProck @sydneycjensen It was so discouraging. They really just killed the whole vibe. “UGH. I *have* to be here for state-required PD hours. Just give me my certificate so I can leave already.” Gag. Spare us your negativity and just go… you’re not learning anything anyway. 🙄 2/2
@LadyProck @sydneycjensen Yes! I remember when I was working on my degree and hadn’t been in the classroom yet; I was assigned to attend our local Math-Ed conference. I was SO excited to go and learn! So many veteran teachers were there sighing, rolling their eyes, and harrumphing at EVERY session. 1/2
