Late to the party, but this is a raw and powerful reminder of the difference education makes. @katrionaos is an absolute powerhouse, but also a terrifying reminder that the system is broken. Poor does not equate to lack of talent, intelligence or ambition. We have to do better.

The most powerful thing for Alex since her diagnosis has been discovering others in her life who also have single sided deafness (SSD) - Uncle Dave, a teacher at her school and our GP, to name just a few. This awareness has had a big impact on her and on us. 3/4
