@andyetc Same. I’m over this notion that seems to be doing the rounds atm. I learn best, and am more likely to try new things, when I feel supported and safe. Appreciate its not the same for everyone of course, but I do feel it’s trendy to say ‘let’s get rid of trigger warnings’ etc.
This morning he was worried about school…
Right now he is masking.
This evening he will have a 3 hour long meltdown and scream and smash furniture. He will sob uncontrollably and won’t be able to control himself. He is developing eczema and asthma and can only bring himself to eat yellow food. He stutters sometimes.
Next year he will stop going to school.
A couple of years later he will become an inpatient with a low chance of survival.
But let’s keep it cheap and let’s fail children and lie about it…
@siany_humphries Grr, this sort of scapegoating makes me so angry. I’m right in the middle of sorting secondary provision and updating ECHP and it’s absolutely soul destroying. I don’t class myself as sharp elbowed but at least in a position to be able to fight for what we deserve.
@andyetc There was a part of me that was worried that it would be creating a really hard act to follow, but I needn’t have worried. Bring on the Christmas Goblins! (Which will also be me in my PJs eating all the food!)
Absolutely moved by this wonderful story @looknorthBBC and so proud of the wonderful signing elf @MelanieBoyeson -Utterly gorgeous #ChristmasTime https://t.co/4js1s2ULmh
@andyetc It was a ride. Cried quite a lot too! A proper old school adventure and I loved it. I also wanted the Meep for Christmas, changed my mind, but decided I’d still quite like one.
Absolutely delighted to hear that @Jeremy_Hunt is going to 'cure' my Myalgic Encephalomyelitis! What a genius. There is currently no cure for M.E but finally we have one in the form of stopping our benefits? I'll make sure to tell my consultant of this new development.
