@NicholasFerroni I had wasps come into my 2nd grade classroom one day during Math time…0/10 recommend. Needless to say, Math class was held in the hallway while the principal and custodian took care of it. FYI- no one learned math that day 🥴
🆘 Calling all #fifthgrade teachers! I must know- is there some sort of rite of passage that every fifth grader must jump up or reach up to touch the top of every door or every.single.thing hanging from the ceiling?! 🙃
It was a wonderful morning full of alllll the feels. My biggest takeaways:
•Observation without evaluation is important
•Just 30 seconds is all I need to form a connection

Proud teacher right here 🤩 My class was chosen as PE Class of the Month for September! They were chosen for participating and using good sportsmanship during class. 💙 Now, we need to apply those skills in other areas of our day.
My first 2 groups of IXL superstars were celebrated on Friday. These students mastered some fifth grade Math and ELA skills since the start of the year. Who will be celebrated this Friday? 👀
I’m only 3 weeks behind, no big deal 🙈 We started our school year with a New Year party! 🥳 We danced, learned about our new classmates, and had fun capturing memories with photo props. This is going to be a great year! 💙💛 #setthestagetoengage
This past weekend I presented my final project for my Masters in STEM Ed. from @LVC 🥳 Thankful for my supportive and encouraging family and friends; I wouldn’t have been as successful without them. 💙 Next goal: STEM teacher
Sitting here looking at the date and realizing it’s almost a month out until I’m back at school for a new year. 🫣 Check out my Amazon wishlist if you would like to support my class this year. Thanks 🥰 https://t.co/2EvRHCTLpE
It’s Prime Day! Help me #clearthelist2022 so I can make my second year in 5th better than my first. I want to create more efficient classroom management so I can be more effective. Thank you, in advance, for your support! 💙💛

Started grad class last week because I’m a bit insane, but I’m excited to dive deeper into 3D learning with the NGSS and new PA STEM standards. This is one of 2 classes needed to complete my Master’s and 1 step closer to achieving my goal. 😃 #STEMed
I’m thankful for my school’s Makerspace and the chance to get out the robots and watch my kids have fun while learning important skills. We started with Ozobots last week, using color coding and Blockly online. We even reviewed measurement while creating racetracks. #JTLearns
@julierwright This is happening at all grade levels, including elementary! I am exhausted every day from having to argue with my 5ths about following expectations we’ve had all.year.long. Like, why? The disrespect towards adults is frightening.
When you let kids be kids, even the “too cool for school” Ss will join in on the fun. 🥰 This month’s positive student behavior reward was all about staying active. Who knew Duck, Duck, Goose was still a fan favorite?! 😃
@Tom_Newkirk One of my grad profs made us write everything as if we were on Twitter with its word count. It has helped me stop and edit myself before submitting anything, including emails. Thank you, @Sci_Rem!
It’s amazing how “human” I feel when I have an extra day added to my weekend. I could actually sit back and relax for a little and didn’t feel rushed to have to get school and house work done before Monday. Who do I go to about a four-day work week proposal?!
This week was Kindness Week- very fitting with the Valentine’s holiday. We always talk about being kind to others, but rarely do we ask “What do I love about myself?” So, my class took some time to reflect on that question. 💗 #loveyourself
When your husband owns a pizza shop, it’s only fitting that you celebrate Nat’l Pizza Day.🍕 Welcome to Hummer’s House of Pizza! Ss put together pizza boxes, practiced prepositional phrases, verbs, and problem-solving w/ fractions and decimals. #setthestagetoengage#JTLearns
