If that's what you got out of 90s Disney movies, then you missed the point. The love story wasn't the whole story, it was just part of it.
Ariel wanted to explore the human world and walk on land. Eric wanted to do his own thing and sail the ocean. Their paths happened to cross and she's introduced to something new. When she got on land she was more focused on the new environment than the man in front of her. The bird, the fish, and the crustacean had to keep her on mission.
Belle was minding her business and reading books, but she wanted more than what her small town had to offer. The deal with the beast was messed up, but it was the perfect escape. At the end of the day, he needed her more than she needed him.
Jasmine was so against marriage she was scaring men away! She wanted to live her own life and make her own decisions. If she was going to get married, it was going go to be on her terms. And was!
Do I need to explain Mulan? Or Pocahontas?
Cinderella wasnโt thinking about a man, and the Prince wasn't with the shenanigans. They just happened to meet. Snow White was abused. Of course, she dreamed about being loved by someone.
The Disney films of old teach girls that finding love is a good thing, that love is part of life, that you can follow your dreams AND fall in love. These new films teach girls that wanting love is weakness.
This is a strange take. Are we assuming that the way Crowder spoke to his wife is normal?
My husband has never, not once, spoken to me that way. Or even in the vicinity of that.
If this is normal in your circles, get out of them.
@brysongray @jrmikey80 I did and I'm still not convinced that it means we may never sin again, which it what it sounds like you're saying. We all have something to repent for - we're not perfect like Jesus was.
Nobody cares that you're gay. Nobody is scared of you being trans. What people are sick of is the disgustingly obsessive propaganda and programming that is pushed through every form of media by every major corporation in an attempt to confuse young minds not old enough to comprehend what they're being shown. What people are sick of is seeing the perverted action of taking kids to drag performances where grown men are spreading their legs for money in front of five year olds and being told it's "normal family entertainment." What people are sick of is the obnoxious self absorbed narcissistic attitude that the entire world revolves around you. What people are sick of is a cult trying to indoctrinate kids and teens to pull away from their own mothers and fathers in exchange for "allies" and mentors. It's not hate, it's not bigotry, it's that we've had enough of it and it needs to stop.
@benwrightish @PastorMark Is it loving to watch people self-destruct without saying anything to help them because we're supposed to just "love" them through it? Love IS standing for God's truth.
Just so Iโm clear: You believe that during Covid, scientists & health care officials PURPOSELY fucked with our lives? You believe they PURPOSELY tried to make things worse for us?
