@gmb I work in a gp surgery in Scotland, every week we have hours of wasted appointments due to patients not turning up. The average wasted time of these appointments are 3-4hrs. One week it was 6 hrs !!!! If they don't turn up 3 times in a row they are removed from the list.

More wasted appointments last week in our gp surgery due to lots of patients NOT turning up to their appointments and NOT cancelling !!
Another 3 hours and 15 minutes of wasted time in total between gps, a pharmacist and a nurse.

I work in a gp surgery. In 4 weeks we have had 19 hours and 25 minutes worth of missed appointments. This is due to patients not cancelling their appointments or not answering their phone for a pre-booked appointment. These appoints were spread over gps, a nurse and a pharmacist.

@ThisisDavina It's not the gp's decision not to see patients routinely face to face Most gps are busier now than before covid yet they are getting slagged off by everyone for doing nothing. ... its a joke !!!
