A7: I want all of my Ss to leave my class knowing that they are loved. I hope to be a positive role model in their lives. My one goal every year is to instill the qualities needed to be the best person they can be. To do the right thing and to treat people right. #NCSchat
A6: My first year of teaching was really tough. I struggled a lot with confidence. I think I have made huge improvements in that, but I still have more room to grow! I would also say that I have learned to manage time better and go to colleagues for advice/resources. #NCSchat
A5: This summer I didn’t have a lot of time to dive into a lot of learning, but when I went to EdTechTeam in Cincy I learned about uses for Google Sites and I am very excited to start building a class page where I can share what we are learning with families. #NCSchat
A4: I will sometimes have my students jot down a reflection on what they have learned or what they feel they need to improve on and then they share out with a partner. It’s amazing when they see that their partner might also have a similar reflection and can relate. #NCSchat
A3: With my classroom design, what I think will work may not always be the case once Ss enter the door. There have been times I have encouraged students to problem solve and help decide what needs to be changed in order to better suit their learning environment. #NCSchat
A2: With Ss, mine are almost always working in collaborative groups. They have quickly learned to be respectful of each other’s opinions and support each other in barious ways. #NCSchat
A2: Over time, you start forming relationships with colleagues and then you build on each other’s strengths. What one person might not be good at, the other person can share their ideas and help. It’s important to keep an open mind. #NCSchat
A1: I think that building relationships is the key! Motivating them and encouraging them to not give up and to be the best person they can be is so powerful, especially coming from someone that they look up to. #NCSchat
