I beyond excited to announce my commitment to play baseball at Hiram College! I would like to thank Coach Brua and Coach Nordquist for this opportunity. I also want to thank my family for everything they’ve done for me to help me achieve my goals. @Hiram_Baseball
Disappointing ending for Washington county after an amazing comeback and one of the more entertaining games in western Pennsylvania this season … on any level.
Congratulations to the boys from Washington County on an incredible run at the @ponyworldseries from #WTAE
Now that the 2024 Printscape PONY League World Series has come to a close, we'd like to recognize some of individual award winners, starting with our 2024 John D. Voytek Memorial Award, Bryan Schmeltz. Schmeltz tallied seven hits in 15 plate appearances with three home runs and eight RBI. John Voytek delivered two hits in the 1955 PONY World Series championship game victory. Each year, following Washington’s final game, Nathan Voytek, John’s son, former PLWS participant and umpire, and current President of Tournaments, Inc., presents the award, along with his family, to the host team’s leading hitter.
