2A state wrestling: Landen Davis (EBF) wins by 23-9 major decision vs. Carter Liston (APGC) in a 120 third-round consolation. Liston had a chance for a cradle late but couldn't lock it in. Liston's sophomore year ends at 21-17.

It’s important to help students find their talents and strengths. But we also have to help them learn coping skills, perseverance, positive self talk, etc. so they can make use of those talents and strengths.

Teacher effectiveness is not improved by canned curriculum, new programs, or initiatives. Teachers need to be respected, valued, supported & appreciated. When they feel like their talents are utilized, morale increases, job satisfaction soars, are teachers are most effective!

Some of you may not have the support you need & may be discouraged. Remember your purpose is greater than your situation. You have students who appreciate you even when they don’t verbalize it. Teammates who depend on you. You have amazing talents no one else does. Don’t give up!

It’s important that your students know you believe in them. But it’s even more important that we help them believe in themselves. Students who feel good about themselves, have the confidence to try new things, try their best & cope when they make mistakes.
