: first in-person workshop today since before my maternity leave in 2019! Thankful for a morning of engaging conversations with @AdrienneGear. Looking forward to this learning series throughout the year.
One of my grade 4 students raised $1600 & ran 23km today, from Oliver to Osoyoos, in support of Terry Fox. Our school community greeted him outside with signs and posters and cheered him on for the final block of his run. We’re so proud of you, Z! #terryfox
: joining my colleagues in posting my “wishlist” for the upcoming school year. My community is currently battling a 2000 hectare wildfire and many students are evacuated and displaced. Some fresh items would be a welcomed surprise ❤️ #clearthelists https://t.co/eaLuRKqIFV
@chrissyteigen Thank you for being so generous of both your time & money...so many teacher & students will be ever grateful for you. I’m about to start this year at a new school, new grade, new town, new district! Overwhelming but I can’t wait to meet my new students! https://t.co/eaLuRKqIFV
@chrissyteigen I might be too late to this but I’m putting my list out there! Thank you for all that you’ve done for countless teachers ❤️ https://t.co/eaLuRKqIFV
I’m beyond excited to have found my new home: Osoyoos Elementary. Saying goodbye to David Brankin, my home for the past 6 years, has been tough. Today I packed up my classroom and said my goodbyes. I cannot wait to learn & teach alongside my new colleagues in #sd53 ❤️
@rwd01 I had a class from grades 4-7 (September 2015-June 2019). It was amazing to see the trust, growth and success from my students and in my teaching practice. We were able to do much more at the beginning of the year as they were comfortable. I also believe it lowered their anxiety.
Baby Livera and I were absolutely spoiled today by my students and school community. It’s surreal to think today was my last day of teaching for 14 months. I will miss the classroom but I am ready for this new chapter!
We had a nice surprise in our staff room today! We’ve had lots of changes at DB lately but Mrs. Khan & Mrs. Robinson are rocking their new roles as our admin team :)
