Thank you @gcouros for making my first faculty meeting as an assistant principal easier. We’re pivoting to one slide: “Everything George said. Let’s do that. Now go work on your rooms and don’t forget to do your blood-borne pathogens training.” #owassops
@LaraSearcy112 My two amazing parents are registered to different parties, just like my husband and I are. I recently asked my dad about that, and he said they would go vote together knowing many times they were canceling each other out. I’m glad I had their example of always voting though!
A5) If I have a student out of the room for a bullying consequence, I amend their usual work and assign them some excerpts from "Dear Bully," a collection of 70 true stories about bullying. I give them some reflective writing to do. (7th grade) #oklaed

@m_drez An email informing you that due to changes at the State Dept. everyone needs to make an appointment to drive half an hour away to have their finger printing done and paperwork submitted within 24 hours. You have 10 business days. I hope this email finds you well.
A8) I enjoy the opportunity to talk to Ss about the tests they’ll take in their life. How each one is so different and requires different preparation, support, and mindsets. From drivers test, ACT, technical skill tests, personality test for a job. It’s a part of life! #oklaed
A7) One year I contacted parents and asked them to make Flipgrid videos about all the things in life more important than standardized testing. The day before tests Ss watched them. Great source of inspiration! #oklaed
@TheWeirdTeacher I still wear a mask because my 37 year old husband was intubated for 16 days last January w/Covid. Because of recurring tracheal scar tissue we can’t take that risk again. About 5% of teachers wear one at my site and one or two students in each of my classes. (suburban Oklahoma)
@dianarwallach It’s the End of the World as I Know It by @AuthorLandis I would recommend this for 7-12gr. Very close reader to prtgnst connection w/his detailed thoughts as a major component of the bk.Also seeing how others relate to him differently based on their perception of his anxiety.
