The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland which crosses the Patapsco River has reportedly Collapsed within the last few minutes after being Struck by a Large Container Ship; a Mass Casualty Incident has been Declared with over a Dozen Cars and many Individuals said to be in the Water.
@ElectRyanDorsey Agreed. They did what every other person in the US does when they have a baby - made a public registry! It never occurred to me when I had my child that having a public online gift registry would be an ethics issue.
I finished Feral and it was really, really good. Her entire trip obviously changed, as did a lot of aspects of her life. The best parts were all of the details about her adventures to the parks outside the lower 48. Living in Maryland I forget how remote some parts of the US are!
“You said some things never change, but since then, everything has done nothing but change.” – Olaf in Frozen 2
I was looking back at old tweets and found this...what's funny is that Frozen 2 influenced this one, too, but at the beginning of the movie...
Little did I know!!!
I'm actually in the process of reading a memoir called "Feral" by Emily Pennington about her year traveling to every US National Park...I am currently reading about her journey in February 2020 and waiting for the ball to drop!!!
@jemillerbalt There was a plan to redevelop the ice factory - I remember reviewing it back when I was a parking planner for PABC (so sometime between 2017-2020) but it must not have gotten out of the planning stages? I bet if you called the City Planning department they could give you details
@lizbybike I used to live at 2722 Maryland Ave. My husband and I used to call 28th and 29th Streets "I-183" because sadly people drive on them like they are on an auxiliary interstate highway.
@bardlover6@EuphoriTori lol you'd be surprised how many people insist on calling someone a name they don't ever use. I worked at a place once where they insisted that everyone must go by their full legal first name. A co-worker couldn't even get Mike printed on his name tag - he had to go by Michael!
@HonestlyBenji@seanfaywolfe YEP! The interaction makes it seem more real. Plus it happens a lot more when a following is really small. (The channel I co-host has generally 30 people watch the shows live, so I can directly reply to everyone in the chat.)
@seanfaywolfe As someone who is a YT co-host & autistic, I think its bc fans see/hear so much of us and think they deeply know us (perhaps even more than their real life fam & friends!) when they only know 1 side of us. I bring up autism because I used to struggle w/this unspoken social cue!
@metalsummer I meant to reply before now but I did feel it a little bit on day 2, mostly near my armpits on both sides! (I think the subscapularis muscles?)
@Natrone86@ElectRyanDorsey That's how it works in a "weak mayor" style government. The Town of Bel Air (which is a municipality of 10K residents) elects a 5 member board of commissioners and among themselves they select the Mayor.
I didn't think I would post all of this publicly, but Twitter feels like screaming into a void anyway, and I'm getting to the point where I'm so overwhelmed that I just can't handle anything in my life anymore.
I cannot stress enough how important this post is for everyone to read. It applies to millennials, too: https://t.co/127SaMMkPH I cannot handle the mental and emotional load solo and didn't expect in 2022 that men would be so dismissive of doing 50% of the housework & child care.
"However, because he is a man raised in a culture that has allowed him not to have to think really think about these things, the thought that having children would impact his career or the way he does work never crossed his mind."
