Such a great day at @MathsConf32 - prime factor fun with @StudyMaths was a highlight, and Anne Crosby’s work on mathematical reading was my biggest takeaway of the day. Really excited to take it back into the classroom!
I agree that schools shouldn’t expect parents to waste so much time/money into making/buying costumes for #WorldBookDay2023
Let the teachers do it instead 🤪😂🐵 #edutwitter#lovemyjob
I wish the @NEUnion put more info out RE what “fully funded” means and how the last pay rise was not…
Lots of teachers near me are striking because of this, for the sake of the school’s budget, and I haven’t heard it mentioned/explained once on the news.
The maintenance team at school sent out a whole staff email - someone hung bunting in room J16 in front of a sensor, which set off an alarm in the middle of the night….
J16 is my room…. 👀 #MakingFriends#GreatStartToMyCareer 🥴
I shall be taking in chocolate next week…
Okay #edutwitter ... Secondary maths #NQT with an assigned classroom in need of a makeover - KS3/4 with a year 8 form. Any tips/tricks/display ideas? Thanks!

When you plan a starter and end up teaching the whole lesson!
Thinking on your feet 101 😂🤔
A big boost in my confidence after a challenging week 💪 #ICanDoThis
One of my fave Christmas pressies last year - women in history you didn’t learn about in school.
Today’s entry is about Marian Anderson, who on this day in 1955 became the first African American woman to perform at the Metropolitan Opera, New York 👏🙌
Thanks @sanditoksvig 😊
Small changes but no falling back into the black hole that was last March.
Productivity, engagement and enjoyment in my online learning today was much improved. Very thankful for my course leaders/tutors and looking forward to tomorrow.

#Lockdown3 - I really need to #selfcare this time.
Got up early to wash/brush/faff as if I was going to work, (comfy) work clothes and all. I sorted out my “office”, didn’t eat chocolate for breakky & didn’t bid on rubbish on eBay. 1/2
Hi @Arithmaticks!
When you teach compound measures, do you teach them the formula as well as using proportion? If so, which way round?
I’ve been asked to teach compound measures for an interview on Monday 😱 x
