Our new math curriculum is amazing on so many levels, but the fluency opportunities have made the biggest difference! Students are becoming incredibly fluent with their decimals!

We had our first day of roller skating in gym this week. This old teacher even successfully participated without falling. 😂

We made it to Winter Break! We had to also say goodbye to our student teacher who will do an amazing job in Whiteland. Looking forward to 2 and a half weeks to rest and recharge!

One more day until 2 and a half weeks off! One of our favorite activities this week has been trying to make an “explosion” in a bag with vinegar and baking soda. So many screams and lots of excitement in science.

Last, but not least…..our choir did such a great job at their concert sneak peek in front of the entire school. They even are still honoring Brooklyn by having her on stage! 🧡❤️ #BattleforBrooklyn

One of my sweet, strong students was diagnosed with leukemia this week. Our hearts have been so heavy with worry. One of my other students had the BEST idea to have a stuffed animal take her spot until she can return to us. We are documenting everyday as if she’s here.

It’s been an emotional week for all of us. More to come on that, but my teacher heart was so happy today when I saw a student solve this problem 2 different ways to prove her answer. She’s in 5th grade!!!!
