I’ve been using guided notes during ILT and tomorrow I’ve decided to move to this note taker. This one is so much more fun don’t you think?
Developing leaders on SIOP and throwing some @TonyaWardSinger EL Excellence Every Day in the mix. Let’s push Ss over the threshold! #MLsCan
As Specialists who serve Multilingual learners and content teachers too, we wear many hats. One is coaching our colleagues (sometimes formally and other times casually).
Effective ML Coaching includes:
1. being a role model of what our multilingual learners need academically but also socially and emotionally
2. listening carefully to our colleagues and their concerns as they navigate new ways of teaching
3. teaching our colleagues about multilingual learners, their needs, and rights through classroom demonstrations, mini-pds, daily interactions, and more.
4. and helping our colleagues to pull away from old ideas and learn new philosophies without feeling guilty.

Love Dominque Pfeifer's design and personalization of the "Instead of I Don't Know" poster for her Spanish-Speaking Newcomer Class! Especially the: "Here is what I do know" @MarbleFallsISD@Seidlitz_Ed

Did you see this? @JennaBushHager selected Solito as her Sept book club pick for the month. It is the memoir of @jzsalvipoet who traveled unaccompanied to the U.S. at the age of 9. https://t.co/UPl6ioYhQS
On Friday, one of my ELs who barely speaks English told his friend that I’m his favorite teacher because I take the time to really help him understand what we are doing and I help him with the assignments. This is one of the many reasons I do what I do! @GooseCreekHigh

Day 10: I Really Want You to Read…
I’ve probably read 50 books set during WWII Europe, but this one was so different! Loved the storyline and perspective of the main character.
My 10 days are over, but I could share books every day!
