If screaming truth at power
Is what we’re meant to do
Then Janey no one did it
As pure and loud as you
Simultaneously spiky
And grandiloquent
Your words will echo on
And Trump is still a cunt
@DerekLandy My 11yo son has just found a Skulduggery spinoff he hasn't read and bought it, delighted, with his birthday voucher. I love watching him read and chuckle to himself and go, "ooooh." Never has he loved a series more. Thanks for the joy.

@MayorMikeRIP@ian_cushing Because they spend a large proportion of their childhood there. Surely one of the most important things we can do as adults is support children to have a happy, carefree childhood as much as possible.
(I am not saying that school should be constant fun- enjoyment is different)

Clearly can't please everyone! As a single mum, I struggle with finances during such a long break and also have periods of loneliness. Plus, my autistic son finds lack of school routine stressful (much as he'd claim to prefer holidays!) What do you like/dislike about long hols?
Been a minute since I have done a giveaway on here!
To #win a signed copy of Aya and the Star Chaser, like, RT this post and follow this account. Ends 28 Jul. UK only.

@tootler74 @Strickomaster I don't think it's odd at all. When I started teaching, there was someone employed to do all displays around the school: teacher had to say what the display should be and provide the work if it was pupil work. Making a display is not teaching and we are paid to teach.
@oldandrewuk Being part of an NCETM Mastery work group and Mastering Number in KS1... from my experience in previous school, these will really have a positive impact on our maths teaching and learning.
@heymrshallahan@TeacherTapp Primary but Year 6- I much prefer face-to-face as it's often the only opportunity I have to meet the parents/carers of children I teach, and it is so much better for building a positive relationship, making a connection, which I think is vital at primary.
@thosethatcan 2nd day of Ofsted. SLT in panic. Their response: a morning briefing which boiled down to "all of you need to do better." They cowered down to the inspectors instead of showing pride in the many strengths of the school and their truly fantastic teacher/TA team.
GIVEAWAY! 🎉 In honor of the woman at the bookstore who said she was traumatized from reading "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret," I'm giving away sets of @judyblume books to 3 winners!
