@GregAbbott_TX These financial struggles are leading to larger class sizes, fewer resources, & a direct impact on students&teachers. Texas ranks 41st in per-student funding, and teacher salaries are over $7,700 below the national average. It’s time to demand better funding for public education.
@GregAbbott_TX •Fort Worth ISD: Considering closing up to 25 schools.
•Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD: Considering closing four schools.
•Lewisville ISD: May close or consolidate up to 20 campuses.
•Coppell ISD: Closing its oldest elementary school due to low enrollment.

Look at the mess in AZ:
•Costs exploded from $65M to $864M, fueling a $1.3B deficit.
•71% of voucher recipients were already in private school/homeschool.
Will TX taxpayers foot the bill for a program that benefits the wealthy? #txlege#SchoolVouchers
@GregAbbott_TX Great article about how Greg Abbott’s voucher scheme will make private vendors rich while draining Texas public schools. Hope your lobbyist friends enjoy their taxpayer-funded payday! #CorporateWelfare#FundPublicSchools

What can you make with paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, plastic bags, boxes, egg cartons, and plastic jugs? A whole jungle! #glowshow#arteducation
Check out what we learned in art. The Glow Show was all about shedding light on issues in the jungle and the need for awareness. Students had the opportunity to teach their families while waiting in line for the glow show. Check out the questions! 🌿✨ #ArtWithPurpose#GlowShow
Art has a purpose. It is more than just creating works of art. It is a powerful way to bring awareness to important issues. Art class is not just about playing and having fun. It is art and education combined.
@Carlos__Turcios@drbone4tx FWISD isn’t “choosing”anything! This is federal law. Plyler v. Doe(1982) ruled that public schools must educate all kids, regardless of immigration status. Texas law+FERPA protect student info. If you have a problem, take it up with the U.S. Supreme Court, not the superintendent.
@drbone4tx it’s a systemic issue. Private schools can pick students; public schools take all. If you have real data proving private schools “save” expelled students, let’s see it. Otherwise, you’re just talking in circles.
@drbone4tx So you’re saying public schools are failing, but where’s your proof that private schools are doing better? This chart shows Texas increased per-student spending by 48%, yet NAEP scores in math and reading still declined. That’s not a funding issue—
