Reading aloud matters! We recommend ALL children should receive story time at least once a day. But why? Each week we are going to be sharing some of the benefits to reading aloud to all children. @teresacremin provides incredible insight to this.
Had an exciting delivery this week: our latest class novel, #Malamander!
I think this book has, quite possibly, one of the best opening chapters to get a bunch of children immediately hooked! My Year 6 are already desperate to read more so, for this, I thank you @ThomasHTaylor!
What a fantastic trip to @Waterstones that was! So many fantastic books to choose from! Can’t wait to get stuck into these four! Love a signed book too! @OpenUni_RfP @MissSykesMP @ManselLearning
Favourite display for the year ahead. Each child selected their best part; we photographed it, they wrote about it and this is how they turned out. Proud teacher doesn’t quite cut it. Some of their explanations are simply gorgeous.

Two fantastic book recommendations: El Deafo by @CeceBellBooks and Max and the Millions @mossmontmomery. Both campion deafness and children who are hard of hearing. Great to see representation like this! I’ll add my copies to the school library. Happy reading everyone!
