A devastated mum whose disabled son’s wheelchair was taken in an alleged burglary has accused the Met police of ableism after closing her case within 2 hours of it being reported. Teon, 7, has four-limb cerebral palsy & his wheelchair gave him independence https://t.co/8s0TKEfkzm
People cheered on the death of Jordan Needly, a Black autistic schizophrenic man, because his disability made it impossible for him to adhere to the social norms of society. His transgressions due to his illnes, homelessness,& neurodivergence turned discomfort into a death sentence
it’s not just racist people you have to worry about
..it’s people that live in a bubble. Nothing is ever “deep” to them enough because they’re either not pressed to care or not affected by anything.
"He called me a big fat c**t... But he didn't mean nothing by it... He apologized. And was mortified."
Ohhhhhh so you can still apologize if you involuntarily insult someone. Look at that.
People still acting like an apology is some humiliating act or an admission of guilt/intent. It is the BARE MINIMUM show of respect and empathy to someone to whom you caused harm, intentionally or not.
Yeah remember when a black man had a mental outburst on a train and a white man killed him on the spot and was later acquitted.
I didn't see these 'mental health experts' crawling out of the woodwork to defend Jordan Neely like they are John Davidson
