tldr; the agent never write raw code. It emits DIL (a new language), the server compiles and streams it, the client renders it using a component set so that it feels native https://t.co/EzfM43fgkf
To everyone job hunting: How many hours a day do you honestly spend learning, building, and practicing? Letβs drop the hustle culture numbers and get real.
Just found out AWS offers up to $200 in credits for new users through sign-up + simple activities.
Could be a good way to experiment with cloud, deploy projects, and learn AWS hands-on without spending much.
Built a Linux installation script for LANBox that doesnβt even require cloning the source code.
It pulls the latest Docker images directly from GHCR, configures the environment, and starts LANBox with Docker Compose.
Fresh Linux machine β run script β LANBox running. π§π³
LANBox = Google Drive, but local. π
Your computer provides the storage. Other devices on the same network connect through a browser and can upload, download, organize, preview, rename, and delete files.
While building LANBox, I wondered how Linux handles permissions when Node.js fs creates folders or deletes files.
I learned Node.js doesnβt have its own Linux user - it runs with the UID/GID of whoever starts the process. sudo β root.
Built LANBox, a local-network file sharing app to understand how web apps interact with Linux filesystems through fs.
Next: Dockerize it, automate setup, and build CI/CD around it.
The goal isnβt more app code - itβs learning how to deploy, operate, and automate systems.
Turned an old Lenovo into my first homelab. Started with Ubuntu Server and Tailscale, got my first deployment working, and eventually built a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions. A few days of breaking things, fixing things, and learning. Next up: Docker.
