People are willing to wait for darshana. Nothing wrong. The point of temples being somewhat remote was to make people go through hardship for a darshana. Numbers are already restricted.
People stand in queue for 30 hours for darshan of Lord Balaji.
This is a mockery of the religion. Nobody has to undergo this.
Better to restrict numbers than allow free for all. Applies to temples elsewhere
Temples were never built for 150 crores population
Former CJI Gavai on SC/ST creamy layer
“Unfortunately, society, at least the people from the Scheduled Castes, are not ready for that conversation.”
“I have been widely criticised by people from my own community for delivering a judgment in favour of the creamy layer in SC/ST reservations.”
“Can a boy or girl studying in a gram panchayat or zilla panchayat school compete with my kids who are studying in the top colleges/universities?”
“Persons who have reached a particular level, if they continue to enjoy the reservation, that is against the concept of social and economic justice as envisioned by Dr Ambedkar.”
Dalit leader Arjun Ramesh🔥🔥
“To protect our Dalit community’s dignity, we must stop misuse of the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Misuse hurts real victims and poor Dalits, as others may boycott or stop hiring us out of fear.
Reserved seats for Dalit students often go to children of rich, powerful Dalit leaders instead of poor, underprivileged students.
We must fight this injustice and fight for the real oppressed Dalits and for real victims”
This IIT Bombay incident has me totally black pilled. My son is 5. He has time on his side and I will make sure he has all sorts of options at 18. Because this genie that has been unleashed is going to be a multi generational disaster for GCs. Economic prosperity is moot if a false complaint can land you in jail.
I am pro-reservation. I have seen caste based discrimination myself. But law cannot presume guilty unless proven innocent. GCs are about to go through a long period of suffering due to legislated negative externalities. I don't foresee any change at least in my life time. And weaponisation of law has just begun.
If your son works hard enough, this will be the greatest country for him. Lots of money, lots of opportunities and tremendous energy. If you let him play with electronics kits, get him to do carpentry, make him understand civil works, he can be making upwards of a lakh by 18-19. If you think the jee route is the only route, then good luck
Indian education system is great for those with 120+ IQ, strong work ethic, comformist temperament, immense drive
If you get into one of the top 100 UG colleges or top 20 PG ones, then you have enough openings to explore and make your life
But for average people with average work ethic, it is a v v v hard place. The quality of life you get is far lower than average people elsewhere...
India is v v severe on mediocrity
For decades, Kaziranga lost rhinos to men who knew the ground better than the rangers chasing them. Then someone changed the odds. In 2022, for the first time in 45 years, it went a full year without losing one. Read on.

This IIT Bombay row is getting out of hand. The kid should not have cheated. Once caught, he should have faced the consequences bravely. His death was due to his own mental weakness and issues. Blaming the IIT Director is wrong. India, please 🙏 grow up.
The Soviet Union too knew where to keep the useful idiots. They put them in Patrice Lumumba University. They did not touch the Moscow State Univ which produced 11 Nobel laureates, or their Academy of Sciences' institutes. We have screwed IITs by polluting them with humanities.
Our dear homegrown brands:
Swathi Delicacy, Dhruvataare, Paakashala and others:
Indian highways are a massive greenfield opportunity waiting for you.
Travelled by road through Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh over the last 1–2 years. Outside a few stretches in Ktaka, good highway stops with
✅quality food,
✅Safe parking,
✅clean restrooms and
✅proper signage are surprisingly hard to find.
Why limit yourselves to Karnataka?
We’ve built some excellent highway hospitality brands here. It’s time to take them national.
#Bengaluru: When contract pourakarmikas (civic workers) demanded their services be regularised (be made permanent), Bengaluru Development minister Krishna Byre Gowda retorted: “30% of you do not report for work on a daily basis and the city is unclean, people are blaming us. Should we still make you permanent when you don’t report for work?”
What are your thoughts ?

My MIL is a very devout Hindu. I am an atheist by every stretch of imagination but i begin my days with MS Subbulaxmi's Suprabhatam. At her place, she asked me to shut it off, because my sister-in-law is married to a devout Christian. Baptised and all. Her house so I followed the rules but just a reminder that burden of secularism is always on Hindus. India is a 'secular' nation - whatever that means in our context - because its majority population consists of Hindus.

No fewer than two dozen major wars were fought among the Rajputs with zero Muslim involvement. Not a single episode involved self-immolation of any kind. Not one. Neither Indian, nor foreign accounts record a single instance. Now see this:
- 712-712, Dahir of Sind vs. Muhammad bin Qasim: Jauhar committed.
1232-1232, Gwalior (Rajputs) vs. Iltutmish: Jauhar committed
- 1301-1301, Ranthambore vs. Alauddin Khalji: Jauhar committed

Similarly, when the British came, we had a series of gruesome engagements starting with Plassey and Buxar, then going on to the Carnatic Wars, the Anglo-Mysore Wars, the Anglo-Maratha Wars, the Anglo-Gurkha War, the Anglo-Sikh Wars, the Anglo-Burmese Wars, the Anglo-Afghan Wars, and many, many more.
No jauhar.
Now, when someone like that book reviewer condemns “Hindutva” for “glorifying jauhar,” I am fully on their side. I agree it was a morbid ritual that does not belong in a civilized society, thank goodness we no longer do that. But do you see a pattern in the above lists?
Why do you think this macabre ritual was practiced EXCLUSIVELY in conflicts involving Muslim forces?
Why didn’t women feel the need to self-immolate when their kingdoms fell to any other adversary?
You can’t be dumb enough to not draw the only possible conclusion here.
Nobody glorifies jauhar, it was not picnic.
We “honor” it. No, not the immolation itself but the debilitating sentiment behind it. With the honor we keep our alive in our collective memory. Know why?
Because the demons that drove our ancestors to such extremities still live and breathe amongst us to this day.
And they haven’t changed one bit.
When someone prefers death to your touch, what even are you?
