As a black man, I've come to realize that my upbringing is the biggest obstacle in my life...not 'racism'. That's why I started the #FocusOnUpbringing campaign.

My framework on how upbringing shapes civilisation:

Upbringing → Capacity → Aptitude → Incentives → Governance → Civilisation outcomes

It's a pipeline that shows how human potential is converted into collective progress.

Upbringing builds the capacity to use whatever gifts people have. It shapes mental bandwidth, agency, self-control, work ethic, confidence, trust, and the ability to cooperate toward long-term goals.

Some people credit white people's high IQ for why they've contributed most to civilization. But if white people had inferior upbringing - parenting, education, culture - would their intellect get expressed at scale? I think not.

The question is: what conditions produce high-capacity people and high-trust societies?

If non-Western societies adopt and scale superior upbringings, they can unlock massive capacity, build their own prosperous, innovative nations like the West did - and reduce the push factors driving mass immigration.

Civilisation is not magic. It is produced through a pipeline. Strengthen the early links, and you change the outcomes downstream. Weak links early on cap everything downstream - no matter the raw talent.

They are working to earn money to pay for their own housing, their own food

Seems like the real people who have privilege are the people who get free housing, phones, food, healthcare, cash assistance, kids paid for and every benefit known to man for free while other people have to work to pay for it….

This is what we’ve lost.

Been in a small coastal village near Salcombe in Devon for the last week.

It hits you straight away. Complete lack of diversity and the place is spotlessly clean. Streets you could eat off. No rubbish, no graffiti, no mess.

The cafés and shops are run by polite English kids. Smiling, working hard, speaking properly. The sort of thing that used to be normal everywhere.

No vape shops. No Turkish barbers. Just quiet English life by the sea.

You can see exactly what has been taken from us. This is how it all used to be. And now it only survives in these few forgotten corners.

Depressing when you realise how much we gave away.
