@TalentEvaluator@FromTheSeidline But Lowell isn’t a private school. Not sure what relevance that has. Does Lowell give out scholarships for kids to come there and wrestle?
@TalentEvaluator@FromTheSeidline So when was the last time a private didn’t win Division 1? How about hockey? How about lacrosse? Let’s look at both basketballs, we can keep doing this. It is what it is, I know it’s not going to change, but when you have an advantage of recruiting and scholarships it’s tough
@TalentEvaluator@FromTheSeidline Private schools make up less than 10% of the schools participating in the football playoffs, yet they will win at least 50% of the state titles, but keep telling me how there isn’t a discrepancy.
@rw_burns@FromTheSeidline Of course test scores and acceptance rates are higher. Mostly affluent families, top students and top athletes attend private schools. If you measured public schools on the same rates using only that population the numbers would be similar.
@FromTheSeidline Couldn’t possibly agree with you more, the advantage is real and outside of Division 1 schools that can compete because of size of student population it’s really unbalanced. If you remove D1 the numbers are even more in favor of the private schools.
