We charge a rehome fee. Why?

Because if we gave dogs away for free, could you imagine where they may end up?

The absolute shock when people realise we charge a rehome fee.

Tell us,

Can you fill up a trolley in Tesco and then walk out the door with it without paying?

Can you go into a car show room and ask for a car and then not expect to pay for it?

Can you order Amazon and not pay for it? Is that all free too?

This is a daily occurrence in animal rescue.

Where staff are abused because people enquire and realise they have to pay and that animals aren’t given away for free.

We need to charge a fee otherwise we wouldn’t be able to operate, we wouldn’t be able to spay, neuter, microchip, rescue, offer transport, etc.

Some sick bastards in the UK painted a defenseless hedgehog blue like it was some kind of joke.

They grabbed little Honey, sprayed her down with oil-based paint, glued her spines together so she couldn’t curl up or move right, and left her choking on the fumes. Found her in a Yeadon garden. Prickly Pigs Hedgehog Rescue took her in, scraped that crap off spine by spine, fought like hell to save her.

She died anyway.

Four punks got arrested. A 44-year-old, a 21-year-old, and two kids aged 17 and 15. Bailed for now, but they better feel the full weight of the law.
This ain’t “boys being boys.” This is straight-up evil.

Torturing a vulnerable animal for fun while hedgehogs are already getting wiped out by human garbage. Shows how broken some people are. No excuse, no mercy.
