@MichelleRhode10 and I finished and submitted the 2020-2021 yearbook today. 🚀Just like this school year, it’s not like any other we have done. We are very thankful to these two for helping us make it our best! 💚 #jbmsyes 👍🏻#my8thyearbook
Teacher retention will be an even bigger issue this year, which is saying A LOT! if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.
The number one reason admin fail is poor relationships with stakeholders. It’s important to know your stuff but vital that you know your staff. Relationships matter!
This is why I love my job. 💚 Some of my kiddos have been out for a few days and they return on Monday so the others felt they needed welcomed back. Each desk has a personalized message! 🚀 #jbmsyes 👍🏻
I have never trusted or respected someone who didn’t keep their word. Keeping your word is the foundation to trust and respect, which just happens to be the foundation of relationships and leadership.
Quote of the week: “Pride is a personal commitment; it is an attitude which separates excellence from mediocrity.” —Note from my mom Sue Paterno to my Dad that was taped to his desk for many years.
Admin who feel overwhelmed, your staff doesn’t expect you to have all the answers or to be perfect. Just give your best, keep them informed & let them know you are all in this together. This gives them trust in you & appreciation for you. & Staff let them know you appreciate them
