#CaldorFire - 9/4/2021 Morning Update.
New heat maps on The Lookout. The fire has not spread much over past 24 hours but there were a few minor runs. Lots of good progress. We'll post a video briefing in next couple hours. https://t.co/uF82Dm2jkn

(Seriously, thank you @wildland_zko
For these detailed updates, I've been able to sleep better since I found your site) https://t.co/KaA66SNKjK
Firefighters made progress against the monstrous #CaldorFire overnight and the weather Thursday began to cooperate with them as big winds died down. The blaze now sits at 210,259 acres with 25% containment. https://t.co/Z2OtullHe0
"It's really hard. I couldn't sugarcoat it."
REAL TALK FROM HOTSHOTS: western wildfires have gotten WAY worse and it's taking a toll.
They've done TONS of work done to protect South Lake Tahoe, but nothing can make the town bulletproof from the #CaldorFire.

@BrittanyKCRA@CAL_FIRE Please tell 1st responders, that they are more than welcome to use our deck to rest if needed. (Last house, before the dirt road)
@CAL_FIRE crews dozing a defensible line in the heavy-fuel load area behind the Sierra House neighborhood. Protecting homes and power lines from the #CaldorFire is critical going into tonight. Again, all homes here still standing.
@BrandonRittiman That angle is from the "parking" lot. Looking down High Meadow Trail. Was always there... make it bigger for all I care, if it helps dozers out.
I've tripped on that pothole a million times and will be happy to do it again, if it means the neighborhood is saved.
