A narcissist doesn’t love you. They love your access. They love your energy, your empathy, your effort — but they don’t value it. They study you, mirror you, charm you… all just to get what they want. To them, people aren’t people — they’re supply. A means to feel important. A backup plan. A safe haven for when life humbles them and they need a place to hide.
They’ll cry about childhood wounds and tell you their trauma made them this way — but when you offer them healing, support, or therapy? They resist. Because healing would mean taking accountability, and narcissists fear accountability. They live in cycles of chaos and blame. They know exactly what they're doing — they just don’t care enough to change it.
You can pour every ounce of love, compassion, and loyalty into them… and they will still betray you behind your back, all while blaming you for their mess. They'll manipulate your emotions, invalidate your feelings, then gaslight you when you try to hold them accountable. They are never satisfied, because deep down they’re not seeking love — they’re seeking control.
Being with a narcissist is like drowning while they watch you and ask why you’re not smiling. It’s mentally exhausting, emotionally destructive, and spiritually draining. And when you're finally empty? They'll act like you're the crazy one for needing to be refilled.
So if you’re dealing with one, hear this loud and clear: you can’t fix them. You can’t save them. You owe yourself freedom, peace, and healing. Walk away before you forget who you are trying to prove your worth to someone who doesn't even know how to love.
Protect your heart. Reclaim your power. You deserve real love, not manipulation masked as connection.
Breakups hurt. You know what REALLY fucking hurts? Trying to “make it work” with someone who has PROVEN to you TIME AND TIME AGAIN that they do not give a fuck about your feelings. THAT hurts
Maturing is realizing that relationships can work and actually be fixed in almost any situation. it just takes both of y‘all actually wanting to make it work and correcting what you’re doing that’s hurting your partner
hardest thing for me to grasp as an adult is you have to keep showing up no matter how you feel. you gotta do this shit sad, do it heartbroken, do it grieving, do it tired. life doesn’t care, it waits for nobody, you just have to keep going.
Staying in a relationship just because you love someone is not worth it. love is not all you need. Respect is what you need. Time is what you need. Reassurance is what you need. Happiness is what you need. A bestfriend is what you need.
