Watching Elon Musk this week has been a fascinating character study in the saviour complex of Western tech billionaires.
They arrive in your country selling you the future. Welcome them, and youтАЩre a country that wants progress. Make them wait, and suddenly your people are victims who need rescuing from their own institutions by the chosen one.
ItтАЩs a pattern. When Thai rescuers didnтАЩt use the mini-submarine Musk sent for the trapped boys, and diver Vernon Unsworth called the idea impractical, Musk attacked him as the тАЬpedo guy.тАЭ
When BrazilтАЩs Supreme Court ordered X to comply with its rulings, Musk called the judge a тАЬdictator.тАЭ
The script rarely changes. Only the country does.
The colonial mindset isnтАЩt always about wanting to rule a country. Sometimes itтАЩs the assumption that you arrive as its saviour, and if the country doesnтАЩt immediately recognise you as one, something must be wrong with the country.
I can't believe that I used to sing these songs too...ЁЯШ│
We were so brainwashed that we never thought straight.
Watch this to know that how the MULLAWOOD/URDUWOOD distorted Indian Culture, Indian History and the concept of India altogether over the years...ЁЯШб

Dear Rahul Singh.... I couldn't find you on Twitter,so I am not able to tag you here..
I first saw you in the movie Zubeidaa... And honestly, I hated you for playing that character...
But today, the way you recently explained the incident with Captain Smit on the flight and brought out the truth about the attackerтАФit was just incredible...
And specially the word you used "Suar" for the attacker...
The left lobby of bollywood will need some burnol after hearing you... ЁЯШВ
You have no right to garland Mangal Pandey if you discriminate against his children.
You have no right to garland Maharana Pratap if you discriminate against his children.
You have no right to worship Bhagvan Ram if you garland his abusers.
You have no right to garland Lala Lajpat Rai if you discriminate against his children.
No law prohibits playing music outside mosques either
But police routinely change routes of Hindu processions to avoid mosques citing the need to тАЬmaintain peaceтАЭ
Because there is at least a 200 years old history of stone-pelting on Hindu processions for praying music outside mosques. If nothing else, read AmbedkarтАЩs Pakistan and Partition of India
Not advocating stone-pelting, but breach of peace - and not written laws - is the reason behind many existing social impositions
Hindus maintain peace under provocation, so they are given arguments like тАШwhich laws prohibits thisтАЩ or тАШwhich Hindu text prohibits thatтАЩтАж
You think Gen Z is progressive, against sexism.
Then you hear them on Meloni.
You think Gen Z is egalitarian, for the subaltern.
Then you hear them on tea-vending.
You think Gen Z is well-read, for education.
Then you ask them what NEET is.
You think Gen Z is kind, against violence.
Then you see them around reporters.
You think Gen Z is sincere, devoted to its cause.
Then you see their protest fit checks.
You think Gen Z is united, in total solidarity.
Then you watch them handle a burger.
You think Gen Z is just, for absolute fairness.
Then you ask them about merit.
Every single one of the points are a real problem.
But your understanding is broken, let me explain. :)
Norway has 55 lakh people. Total. ThatтАЩs smaller than the population of Pune. Their entire country has fewer citizens than IndiaтАЩs 25 smallest cities individually. Norway also has 1.2 trillion dollars in sovereign wealth from oil reserves, accumulated over 50 years.
They have $250,000 per citizen sitting in the fund. India has roughly $3,400 per citizen in forex reserves.
Norway is what you get when a small population sits on top of one of the largest per-capita oil discoveries in human history.
The right comparison is other low-income, high-population, post-colonial democracies. Brazil. Indonesia. Nigeria. Bangladesh. Pakistan. Egypt. Mexico. South Africa. Vietnam. Philippines.
Compare on these and India isnтАЩt doing badly. ItтАЩs doing better than most.
UPI is the worldтАЩs largest real-time payments system.
Aadhaar is the worldтАЩs largest biometric identity system.
We absorbed the global pandemic, the Ukraine war, the West Asia conflict, TrumpтАЩs tariffs, the Iran war, and a rupee fall without going into recession.
Most of those countries above did. Pakistan went to the IMF 24 times. Sri Lanka collapsed. Bangladesh is unstable. Egypt needed emergency Gulf bailouts. Argentina has 60% inflation. We stayed standing.
India is the only country in human history to add a trillion dollars of GDP every 18 months. We added our first trillion in 2007. Our second in 2017. Our third in 2024. Our fourth coming in 2026.
The problems you mentioned exist in every large, low-income, high-density country on earth.
Mexico CityтАЩs pollution is worse than DelhiтАЩs.
ManilaтАЩs traffic is worse than MumbaiтАЩs.
Lagos has worse road quality than Delhi.
Jakarta has worse air than Delhi.
Cairo has worse adulteration.
Karachi has more corruption.
Hanoi has higher pollution.
None of these countries are run by Modi. TheyтАЩre all dealing with the same impossible math.
Industrialising a country of 145 crore people during a global energy transition, with limited natural resources, while keeping democracy intact, is the single hardest governance challenge in human history.
> China did it without democracy.
> South Korea did it with a population one-tenth our size.
> Japan did it with no major religious or linguistic diversity.
> Singapore did it with 50 lakh people total.
Nobody has done it at IndiaтАЩs scale, with our diversity, in democratic conditions.
So when someone asks тАЬwhy hasnтАЩt Modi built one city like Norway,тАЭ the answer is because building one Norway requires not having 144.5 crore other Indians to look after.
"Mandalization" of Hindutva after such a stupendous victory in WB(!), is a completely avoidable stra-gedy. While every State has its realities, the success of a caste-agnostic Hindutva based on shared external threats & internal aspirations could be a great template for Bharat.
ItтАЩs really satisfying to see Kolkata residents тАФ elites included тАФ chanting тАШJai Shri RamтАЩ in front of TMC goon Abhishek BanerjeeтАЩs (the so-called goon Bhaipo) house.
