Didn’t get all 20 in before the season started, but it’s been a fun deep dive into my favorite team over the last 6ish weeks 🥰 #LGRW#readwhatyoulove
Time to get back to some fiction reads…

#onthisday in 1927: Larry Aurie is acquired from London in the inter-league draft. An often over-shadowed by others superstar, Aurie was a favorite of manager Jack Adams who deemed that no other player would don Aurie's No. 6 jersey.
The Cougars would play their inaugural season in Canada at Windsor's 6,000-seat Border Cities Arena, making the Cougars the only franchise in North American pro sports history to play its entire home schedule for a season in a foreign country. 🐙 #RedWings100

#onthisday in 1926: A Detroit syndicate purchases the Victoria (British Columbia) Cougars of the defunct Western Hockey League and moves the team to Detroit. Investors included Henry and Edsel Ford.
