Happy St. Patrick's Day yinz guys. Downtown #Pittsburgh was lit up for the occasion this morning, with festive colors on a number of buildings, from the Highmark Building to the Gulf Tower, Oxford Center and the City County Building. Made for some really cool scenes around town.
The kiddos introducing themselves to their “new” classmates! They created a “poster” where they wrote their names, interests, and how they were feeling about coming back to 5 days of school. They really enjoyed getting to know their new groups! #JustKeepSwimming
After an awesome job with discussion posts this week, We did a GIF Party for our ELA Weekly Wellness Check In! The students had to share the show they’re watching during #Quarantine and describe why they like it. #missingmykiddos#thestjamesway#sjmssharks#AloneTogether
What better place to capture a giant heart in the #Pittsburgh skyline than from the Mr. Rogers statue on the North Shore? The old support of the Manchester Bridge provides the perfect frame for the skyline, with a spotlight illuminating the statue right below the heart.
Even though a huge storm knocked out the power last night and it still hasn’t come back on, I still managed to have my Virtual Meetings today with the help of an iPhone hotspot 👍🏻🤗#justkeepswimming#thestjamesway#AloneTogether
A giant heart display in downtown #Pittsburgh: last night while waiting for the space station flyover, I noticed the Fairmont Hotel was lit up in the shape of a giant heart in support of healthcare workers. There's no doubt it looks great in color, but I love it in black & gold.
For our Weekly Wellness Check In, I asked the kids to make their own “Tik Tok” video on Flipgrid to let me know how they’re feeling about social distancing and eLearning. They did an awesome job! 😂#thestjamesway#justkeepswimming#AloneTogether
@AyersGretchen The students had to create their own s,c&c sentences then act them out while the rest of the class guessed what the sentence was supposed to say and what type it was. They had a blast!
