Slow down in teaching? Maybe, for real learning and growth. https://t.co/jH7WLVz5TN…rning-and-growth/ #cohort21

@shelleykthomas @EBDaigle So true! When they are frazzled, they just want to "get things done". I spoke with a student who said he was overwhelmed. When I said I wanted to learn more about that, he was surprised. He may have felt complaining wasn't okay. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@EBDaigle @shelleykthomas Love this idea from your site: "Students exposed to new technologies become curious..." Fostering that curiosity is what so many of us are trying to do #cohort21

A5: Is it fair to call it research? That is the term I have used so far. #cohort21

@DerekDoucet1 @Mr_Bornstein @Mrs_Naworynski @matteos_mom @TanyaCatallo I'm so lucky at VC. I will be sure to bother @TanyaCatallo and @ElissaGelleny at least a few times before our next F2F @cohort21

A4: Twitter for sharing resources and feedback. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

A3: @Mr_Bornstein says he will keep me on track. I have also reached out to @Mrs_Naworynski and @matteos_mom so I can take advantage of their great advice #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@DerekDoucet1 I am experimenting with having students base next steps on their level of readiness. I have done this already with our electoral system, and it was pretty good! They seemed proud to take on more challenging tasks. #cohort21

A2: How might we slow down and spend energy on what is important? (Key understandings and skills) #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

A1: Hi all! My name is Ashley, Villanova College, superpower? Flying? Interest in my students? #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

Love this hmw question from a student perspective! #cohort21 #CISOPD

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

A4: A supportive community of educators that share their own ideas. This takes a lofty re-imagination of learning and makes it feel attainable. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@NicholaBendle In the case of teachers, it is hard to maintain a resistance against colleagues that have an overall growth mindset. The positive results are overwhelming, and visible to the whole community. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@EBDaigle @RossInstitute @trayc4teach This looks like the History curriculum in Ontario 200 years into the future. Very cool. Even if a student could only experience this type of integration for a one year course, it would still be a great window. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

A3: Re- imagine what learning can look like. #cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@EBDaigle Your section for evidence is such a good idea. This will have students reflecting in a concrete way. #Cohort21

[Ashley Domina @ms_adomina]

@EBDaigle It was based on the History timeline, with Geography explored whenever appropriate. For example, natural resources as the force driving European exploration and settlement. #cohort21
