Geometry and art make the perfect pair for these flextangle sculptures! 7th graders were surprised by how their designs flipped or changed once their sculptures were assembled. Some even tested different patterns on a second version!

For the end of the quarter, 8th grade studio art did a gallery walk and gave their peers feedback on their Explosion Books. Students carefully considered how their book’s imagery, layout, and art material selection aided in communicating a cohesive theme. They did a great job!

Under the sea 🌊 7th graders learned the slab technique to make these beautiful ceramic sea creatures! They created unique texture impressions by experimenting with beads, shells, cardboard, and clay tools.

6th grade’s painted paper animal collages are really starting to come to life! Inspired by the art of Eric Carle, students practiced layering and combining papers to create their creatures in their natural habitats.
