Dear @DCPSChancellor,
A LOT of our staff live outside DC and even those of us in DC, still don’t have our streets plowed. It will likely be unsafe to pick up our rapid tests at school tomorrow. Please delay an additional day so that nobody is put at risk to get a test.
Thanks
RCH2000 is reporting that a protester has been shot in Port-au-Prince during the ongoing anti-government protest. A journalist on the scene says he took the bullet in the head. They are trying to take him to the hospital. He's refusing, remaining kneeled down in front of police.
PSA to white people who claim to care about (so called) “Diversity and Inclusion” or #DEI
Do us Black people a favor and STOP calling it diversity and “inclusion”.
Just stop!
Ya’ll are racist as hell + clueless about your racism.
Let me break this down for you:

Woke up this morning thinking about how after Abraham Lincoln emancipated the slaves, he paid slaveowners reparations. Not the enslaved. That was his way of helping to ✌🏾unify ✌🏾the country and pacify angry white folks.
Anyway, what’chall having for breakfast?
I'm seeing lots of teachers new to #RemoteLearning and #LiveLessons talking already about student burnout. As someone who has been online teaching since March, let me hit you with some pieces of information that might help... /1
VP-Elect Harris getting her COVID-19 vaccine at United Medical Center in Ward 8 is so important. Lots of the staff there had been hesitant to get the vaccine. I appreciate how intentional her team is being with her appearances out the gate.
We need entry testing. If kids are catching it in the community and bringing it into schools we can catch this as we reopen. If they reopen CARES, @dcpublicschools should make the first week after winter break for testing. No it isn’t perfect & yes I’ve read the science...
Are you ready? Tomorrow we need you at the virtual summit on community voice in DC education. Whether it’s budget equity, school integration or digital equity-we know our system itself can be an impediment to solving problems. Come help us re-envision: https://t.co/pE7lp4dAbE
Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday! If you appreciate the work we do to support DC teachers, elevate teacher voice & improve teacher retention in DC, please consider giving. We are a small, grassroots organization and your donations make a huge difference! https://t.co/w00zE3FrHB
This was side by side in my TL. We have crossed the DC threshold of substantial spread & are quickly approaching the CDC one of 20. As @dcpublicschools opens classes in person have they revisited their testing guidance? We cannot stop the spread w/o regular ongoing testing!
Everyone who can let’s join and collectively ask why @dcpublicschools isn’t testing all staff & students given the science of asymptomatic & presymptomatic spread, especially among young children. The science speaks to it, the @CDCgov speaks to it but @DCPSChancellor won’t.
