Ok so status update!
It may feel like things took a few steps backward, and that's because they did. In mid June, I started working with @ms_frogrammer! Now, up to that point I'd built everything in Godot, but it would be easier for Frog to work in GMS2 so we broke the project down in Godot and have been rebuilding it ever since.
One of the great things about this is, Frog has shipped several other games, so he's got some deliveries under his belt already a massive win for the project. Frog also is very efficient and collaborative so what had taken me 6 months to do he did in 6 weeks. This is a big acceleration to our trajectory.
Now, because we had to scrap and restart from the beginning this set us back a bit. However, we are currently working through combat and enemy behaviors at this moment so that we can add them to the player testing grounds. Once those are added and we've roughed out the levels we will invite people to come and test the build!
We are shooting for testing in about 2 months, so I apologize for the delay, and the silence (I've never been great at this social media thing anyway!) but I think we are on a much stronger path than we were before!
Big shout out to @ms_frogrammer for being so awesome!
