@RealMrSkyWalker When writing an eq with variables and units I always put the units in parentheses and when learning have labels like “y-variable” “y-units” below.
I also have student periodically update or create a big concept/units/variable table to keep track of what we’re using/what it means

@RealMrSkyWalker I’ve found that “explain” style questions force students to reckon with their actual understanding of the content and get my “just lecture to us” students to recognize there is depth they need to build themselves. But I teach IB - dunno if AP has this style Q.
