@karenvaites @JennBinis Weird to think this as an “own” in the first place. That term, seat work, is one that could be replaced with lots of other terms. All Ts are familiar with the practice, but not necessarily the specific term. Plus most elem classrooms are flex seating now. So it’s just inaccurate!

@ImaginationSoup Omg yessss!! It’s intimidating to kids, but it’s also impractical to me! When I want to read a book aloud to the class, a 400 page book is going to take too long for a 5-6 week unit.
