Is it a common store policy for @Gap not to sell the last shirt of a certain design. Buying my son a Knicks shirt and they have his size but the employees refuse to sell to my husband because it is the last one. This is the store on Broadway and Cortland. Just found it unusual
@JonHaidt Thank you for this book! I gave it to my 11-year old daughter as a New Year's gift. She finished it in two days! She told me after.. "this book is convincing mommy". Then she said, "I will decrease my screen time to 15 minutes" (we limit her screen time ti 30 minutes a day).
@NYCMayor I'm confused. I thought we've always had free prek (3 and 4). My older one went to prek in a public school when she was 4 and when my youngest one turned 3, NYC had prek for 3 year olds for free (under DeBlasio).
Intrinsic motivation isn't taught. It's unleashed.
Kids learn to value wealth, status & fame by observing what their parents prize. But they come to value growth, connection & contribution when they feel supported.
The heart of building character is building caring relationships.
Generosity isn’t just a sign of virtue. It’s also a mark of intelligence.
Data: people with high IQs have more unselfish values, give more to charity, and negotiate better deals for others. They prioritize the long-term collective good over short-term self-interest.
It's smarter to be a giver than a taker.

6/You need to train your customer service reps better @cathaypacificUS. Send our luggage on time or reimbuse us for expenses we should not be incurring because of incompetence.I cannot deal with incompetent customer service. And incompetent airlines. Never again @cathaypacific.
I am having the worst luck with airlines. We bought @cathaypacific flights going back to the US after PAL cancelled our flights this summer. Not only did their delay cause us to miss our connecting flight from Hong Kong to SFO, they left our luggage in HK! 🧵
5/ I asked for a phone number so I can explain it and not to have to go back and forth. They said they only resolve issues through email. Really, @cathaypacificUS?! I sent them my ticket from sfo to JFK and proof of our NY residence and they said they still can't reimburse me.
My friends told me not to fly Philippine Airlines. I still chose to fly PAL. Tonight, they cancelled our flight. Rebooked us for tomorrow. Then after confirming that flight, received an email saying our flight is now in two days. Never again @flyPAL worst customer service too.
Also, they never gave a reason. Just cancelled and rebooked. Gave the option to get a refund (which will be in 90 days) or rebook with another airline (which we need to go to airport for). No one answer the phone and only way is to chat on Facebook messenger.
@maeisafraid I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing, this made me smile and miss my grandma at the same time. Was very close to mine too and I miss her everyday.
