Voluble liberal (of the bleedin' heart kind); Catholic, Germano-Brit, into EDI+interfaith. Lover of theatre, people+books. Optimist by nature, choice+profession.
Thanks to @ThePantaloons for a lovely, funny evening of escapism(even though I have the strong urge to defend Charlotte Lucas!;))I might have my doubts about the new normal, but anything that includes Jane Austen on a lawn can't be all bad :) Looking forward to The Tempest next!
@SLCT2015 Been a big fan of anger since I read Rage Becomes Her by Soraya Chemali. It's a powerful warning emotion - and if it's good enough for Jesus it's good enough for us ;) Plus we all have a cupboard of rage stored away - getting it out is the only way things will change!
Join the AMHWG, @SheSpeaksWeHear and an amazing group of women to discuss the importance of interfaith solidarity and what female faith leadership looks like in a time of crisis.

#BetterTogether
In the spiritual, emotional and physical disconnect and pain created from being told to ‘go back home’ when one already is home, be with your children, O God.
Happy #DallowayDay!
Planning the novel, Virginia Woolf noted "I want to give life and death, sanity and insanity; I want to criticise the social system, and to show it at work, at its most intense."

The great and wise Maya Angelou - excellent insight into intersectionality, too. Suppression is complex, and nobody can be free and equal until all are free and equal. God grant me the courage! #blacklivesmatter
You, before: “There is only one race... the HUMAN race.”
You, now: “While race is a social construct, I understand that systemically and societally, people are treated differently based on the race they are. I cannot deny the privilege or the problems that come with one’s race.
"Be careful, do not sing 'Victory!' yet,
do not celebrate victory too soon!
It remains necessary to follow the rules in force carefully because they are rules that help us to prevent the virus from gaining ground,"
Pope Francis
My five year old just said "Mama always jokes when she uses words that you can do jokes with. She's such a joker". And I'm not sure I've ever felt that seen before :D

@OfficialMLK3@LadyTitania46 One of my favorite Civil Rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer said “The flag is drenched in our blood”. If you don’t know her, look her up.
A very happy Eid to everyone who is celebrating today, despite the odd circumstances - it must be sad and upsetting to have fewer, or no, people around your table today. But God is no further from us in these times - if anything, He is closer, and comforts. I do wish you joy!
An amazing man's daughter's research: https://t.co/DgSiFsK5sl(I'm sure she's amazing in her own right, too:D).Wld you be able to help out by responding/RTing please? I'd be super grateful! @HassanJoudi_ @AkeelaAhmed@IbrahimMogra@ThisIsNaved. And hope your Ramadan is going well!
