4th grade is done with their figurative unit! We started with an intro to life drawing and learning poses before translating those idea into sculpture. Definitely a labor or love for the amount time put in! #d109pride
Had a great night at the @LyleDragons K-2 music show last night! Nice work @MrOlsenmusic! Also enjoyed the mini art show that @ms_mARTinkus and I set up!
What better way to post about the new school year than with Kindergarten art! Truly my heart is ๐๐ฅฐ These students were engaged in some artistic problems as they created portraits. Special appearance by godzilla at the end ๐ #d109pride@LyleDragons@ISD109

@MsFarnesi) for the Art Expo this Thursday! This was our first joint show with Creative Expressions winners and Jr. High's AMAZING Art 3. Shoutout to @Artsonia for always providing great gifts for our students @ISD109
Introduced grid drawing to 4th grade & they started a collaborative mystery drawing. Each 1-inch square is numbered and students need to draw it proportionally onto a 3-inch square...the secret is using FRACTIONS ๐ค #d109pride@WilkinsISD109@ISD109
But studios aren't only for art-making, it should be a place that inspires you and let's you be creative. Some students made music studios with recording booths, libraries, theaters, game rooms or dream bedrooms.
This lesson was developed last year while virtual. It was fun to teach this in person & give individual advice to students or let them work things out on their own. Based on Matisse's "The Red Studio" students created their own studio spaces @ISD109@LyleDragons#d109pride
