@MissCowieTeach Going to bed my mind used to constantly think about school. I discovered Radio 4 Extra and now generally when I go to bed around 10 I listen to it and often am asleep within 20 mins. BBC Sounds has lots to choose from which might help.

Some of your pupils had an awful summer- were hungry, felt isolated, & they didn’t go anywhere nice.

Don’t force them to write or talk about their summer. You could ask them what they are looking forward to this year instead 👍
