@SchwinkeAlly@DrazinMatthew Hey Ally! Yes! I know of school districts who do not have a strong special education program and it breaks my heart! These kids need their education like anyone else! To do so, they need the staff/resources to make this happen, in addition to the inclusion! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@JewelTayler@DrazinMatthew Hey Jewel! I agree! When you want to implement something in your classroom that is your idea or a recent idea from someone in your PLN, you want the administration's full support to test it out and see how the kids respond, instead of shutting it down right away! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@DrazinMatthew A5: When I am looking for a job, I would like the school district to have a diverse population, being welcoming/friendly, and accepting of my ideas to teach the kiddos! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@RyanSnell15@DrazinMatthew Hey Ryan! I think it's okay that you haven't explored many resources yet! That's what these chats are for to expand your thinking on the social media to use! But I agree, Pinterest is amazing. You should take a look at Teachers Pay Teachers - it's pretty similar! #CEP426#PSTPLN
@MCep416@DrazinMatthew Hey Meredith! I love Pinterest too! It gives so many cool ideas of how to decorate your class and for lesson plans too! You should also check out Teachers Pay Teachers - they have cool designs for worksheets and newsletters too! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@DrazinMatthew A4: Personally, I LOVE Pinterest - it provides many creative ideas for the classroom and so many different ways for students to learn (especially with hands-on projects!). However, a close second is Twitter with all it's useful hashtags making it easy to navigate! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@MsBHoffman@DrazinMatthew Hey Bailey! I agree that problem solving is an important life skill that can help both in and out of the classroom! It can help with subjects, such as math, but can also be applied to if something breaks, and the student needs to understand how to fix it! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@misstuthill@DrazinMatthew Hey, I agree that there are many different ways that students can approach these problems! By using the UDL principles, students can decide which way they want to approach the situation, but we should still teaching them multiple ways approach it. #CEP416#PSTPLN
@DrazinMatthew A3: Problem solving leads to critical thinking, as well as both individualized ideas and team work when working alone/in groups. I plan to support problem solving by allowing students to have quiet time to think for themselves and talk to their neighbor about it. #CEP416#PSTPLN
@DrazinMatthew A2: I feel that the best way to grow my PLN would be to follow educational accounts on all social media (including Pinterest for more creativity in the classroom), as well as discussing ideas with teachers at the school you work at to get direct feedback! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@oliviaroberts_1@DrazinMatthew Hey Olivia! I agree with your points in terms of social media keeping you up to date with current technology and materials, as well as new ideas for lessons, but meeting offline with teachers in the area is smart because you get the personal aspect of discussions! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@MissSydneyCarey@DrazinMatthew Hey Sydney! Your point of forming friendships in classes is so important! The people in your classes now will be at different school districts, which use different ways of teaching. By keeping in contact, you could learn new things to incorporate into your lessons #CEP416#PSTPLN
@val_keenan@DrazinMatthew Hi Val! I completely agree with you that it's so important to create a meaningful relationship between you and your students. With this, you can truly understand how they learn best and help adjust aspects of the lesson and provide useful resources for them! #CEP416#PSTPLN
@alyssa_werner8@DrazinMatthew Hi Alyssa! I agree that everyone should be included in the activities throughout the classroom. But, also, I believe that the activities should vary so that students can be exposed to different ways of learning, and then, pick the best way for them. #CEP416#PSTPLN
@DrazinMatthew A1: I am a Junior at MSU. As a future educator, I plan to meet the needs of my students by providing them with materials to pick the best way that they learn, in order for them to succeed. Additionally, I want to introduce my students to new ways of learning too! #cep416#PSTPLN
