I'm happy to share the first preprint of my postdoc at @CamPathology , where we explore the DNA sensing pathway in chicken macrophages. Thanks everyone, and especially @viropractor, for the great team work!
A new preprint from the lab, work by @MS_Oliveir, is a voyage into chicken innate immunity. We looked at viral DNA sensing in macrophages, finding cGAS/STING detects Fowlpox virus, driving interferon production. Some interesting things to note: 1/ https://t.co/qV0I5x3dlx
Moving from bacteria to viruses with @MS_Oliveir discussing a novel viral signalling and antiviral effector pathway revealed by spatial proteomics.

It's always a pleasure to share my latest work @ #MicroSoc!
Using spatial proteomics, we identified CRTC2/3 nuclear translocation and its mechanism in response to viral infection.

As @JDAlbarnaz co-worker, I can say that he still surprises me everyday with his endless knowledge and ability to discuss and think science!
Congratulations, an amazing and well deserved achievement ๐๐
The Learning to Fly 2023 Course commenced yesterday with Professor Fiona Karet welcoming a cohort of non-clinical female researchers, to discover their "why" to help determine their career choices. We are looking forward to the next session to discuss CVs and research culture.
I had such an amazing time at #ECV2023! Great talks, lovely weather and venue, and a best poster prize awarded to my latest work @LabWeekes
Stay tuned to find more it soon!
Absolutely agree with @hristova_dayana! It was a great experience to work with Brian (@viropractor)during my 1st postdoc @CamPathology and see how much care he had with all the lab members (and patience to teach some innate immunity)!
To apply for a PhD with him see bellow โฌ๏ธ

๐จ Job alert! I am hiring a postdoc to work on an exciting project funded by @The_MRC investigating the many hidden, uncultured bacterial species in the gut #microbiome and their relevance to human health: https://t.co/4qHMjbaH6R. Please share and RT.
This evening we resumed our #Postdoc_Seminar_Series with a super interesting talk from @HanJackson22 ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐งฌ๐ฆ + lots of pizza and drinks of course ๐ป @campathpostdocs @CamPathology
Such a great journey through the #Proteomics22 world @HinxtonHall, where I had the chance to present my 1st #preprint from my work @LabWeekes - an amazing team effort with @JDAlbarnaz and @kite_joanne! If you want to find more about MVA, visit https://t.co/RiQdvkCump

Bittersweet to be leaving @emblebi after almost 5 years, but excited to be starting my new journey as a #NewPI@Cambridge_Uni@CamVetSchool this week! If you are interested in Postdoc/PhD opportunities on the human #microbiome get in touch. Further info: https://t.co/7e3KvdtGZQ
Back to in-person conferences and in shades of blue! Thanks to #Microbio22 for the opportunity to present some of the work I have been doing as a postdoc @CamPathology - there's more to tell about innate immunity in chickens so stay tuned ๐
Such a great week at @TrinCollCam! Two amazing events organised by the Postdoc Society that counted with the unconditional support of the Catering team and networking opportunities with affiliated members. Looking forward to the next gatherings!
