1st graders learned about vertical and horizontal lines in these Piet Mondrian inspired paintings. We talked about the color wheel and primary colors before printing and painting these masterpieces. Awesome work, @HESVBVikings!

2nd grade artists celebrated #BlackHistoryMonth by learning about the art and life of Alma Woodsey Thomas before creating these mosaic artworks. Students learned how to create a symmetrical heart, painted in a mosaic style, and then added chalk pastel details. @HESVBVikings
