On Friday, boys in my class and the other 3rd-5th grade classes @TeamWoodmoor learned how to tie a tie from community members.
It was an amazing program and all my students were so excited to show me what they learned!
Yesterday students enjoyed a pizza party for turning in all their recorder forms to Ms Curry first! They are excited for their next unit in music to learn how to play them! We are so thankful to Ms. Curry for providing the pizza!
Last night I watched my 3rd grade students preform at @TeamWoodmoor winter concert! It was also so amazing watching previous students preform in the band and orchestra!
What an absolute honor to be named Woodmoor’s Teacher of the Year! I have the best coworkers, admin, and most importantly students. I truly am blessed with the best job in the world. 🥹
Students researched 1 industry in Maryland and then used the jigsaw method to share with classmates to learn about the other industries. Students showed research, communication, and teamwork skills.
A fun interactive lesson to get kids moving and putting fractions on a number line! Tomorrow they will all make their own personal fraction number lines.
I’m teaching advanced math this year and one of my favorite lessons happened at the beginning of the year! Making multiple trains to help visualize multiplication!
My class has been working so hard to get on Amira and read more books during their independent work time! I made a challenge to race to 100 books and they will get a prize. Earlier this week they got their 100th book and had to take a picture right before dismissal!
Third grade had the best time at our field trip to the @NatlAquarium today! We’ve been researching animals and their external features! So fun seeing students putting their knowledge to work today! @WoodmoorLibrary@TeamWoodmoor
This S is so proud of himself for solving a difficult tangram. I’ve loved this geometry unit and seeing what my early finishers can make with their tan grams!
