Yet another diplomatic milestone for Nepal! 🇳🇵

The UN General Assembly has adopted the resolution “International Wellness Day”, proposed by Nepal, designating April 15 each year as International Wellness Day.

The resolution underscores that health goes beyond the absence of illness—embracing physical, mental, social, cultural, emotional, and ecological well-being. It also promotes preventive care, healthy lifestyles, and inclusive health systems to build stronger and more resilient societies worldwide.

We sincerely thank all co-sponsoring countries and fellow Member States for their support and cooperation throughout the process.

Sixty-eighth session of the Commission on the Status of Women kicked off at UNHQ in New York today.
Deliberations during the CSW68 will focus on empowering women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.
