Most athletes get discouraged or angry after making mistakes. If they only knew how much they could improve by learning from failure. This is why you need to stay positive and take advantage of every learning opportunity that you get!

@NicolePignatel1@EWRSDK12 You are too kind! It was such a pleasure to be apart of this team - with Coach Larkin, the FH girls, and all of our FH families!!
The theme of this year at @EWRSDK12 is JOY & I couldn’t think of a more fitting word to describe my first season as an assistant coach for girls field hockey. We ended last night with a win for both V & JV levels and sent off our incredible head coach, Coach Larkin!
Four positive things you can do while injured:
1. Take rehab seriously.
2. Focus on other areas of your game, such as your technique or mental game.
3. Be a leader and help your team however you can.
4. Find more balance in life by focusing on your family, faith, and hobbies.
Coaches can’t give a player confidence, but they can give them the opportunities to develop some! They can help them learn the value of preparation, how to reframe their negative thinking & how to overcome adversity & obstacles. Three crucial abilities in developing confidence!

Chief Oren Lyons Jr. is one of the most treasured icons in the sport's history. Today we honor #IndigenousPeoplesDay and celebrate "The Creator's Game," which was given to us by the Native people.
We celebrate with gratitude the rich culture, wisdom, & resilience of those native to this land. The journey for justice, innerstanding, and mutual respect must be embodied daily, not just today ☮️🕊️

Too many kids have been taught that the goal of HS sports is to achieve an ATHLETIC scholarship - here’s the truth: the goal of HS sports is to learn how to be a better person, better teammate, better communicator & to enjoy being a teenager...something you can’t get back.

Yoga, breathwork & functional recovery are vitally important for our first responders. Providing them with tools to regulate their nervous system is important not only to their quality of life & well-being but to their safety & the safety of those they protect each day.

PLAYERS: You can't always control what happens to you but you can always control how you react to your situation. Don't wait for things to come to you. Take advantage of opportunities. You can either make excuses or MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
