I have TTPD stuck in my head on a constant loop but every now and then it’s interrupted by “I’m working late cuz I’m a singerrrrr” and then it’s right back to TTPD
🚨| Adele reveals that she will be supporting The Chiefs at the Super Bowl for Taylor Swift!
“All of you complaining about Taylor being at the games, get a f*cking life. She’s actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch”
If for some reason Taylor doesn’t go to the Super Bowl I can see her buying a commercial and being like “oh hey brads & chads, I bet you were excited that I’m not at the game today. It’s your lucky day because my average airtime during a game is 22 seconds, and I bought 30-Enjoy!
Are you all ignoring that fact that she gave Celine a standing ovation when she came on stage and was singing/dancing to her song? Are you also ignoring the fact that Celine is in bad health and Taylor didn’t know if she was allowed to hug her? Are you also ignoring that they hugged backstage probably after Taylor asked if it was okay? Gimme a break. You’re all looking for any way possible to discredit her. It’s old and boring. #GRAMMYs
A lot of men don’t “get” Taylor Swift and…I think that in and of itself says a lot.
Women have very rich, complex inner lives that Taylor is able to expertly speak to. Her music beautifully expresses the anguish, beauty, and conflict of being a woman. If her music is “basic” it is only because she speaks to universal experiences many women have in common.
To say she isn’t counter-cultural or pushing limits is absurd. She has broken virtually every ceiling there was to break for a woman in entertainment. She is truly self-made and has even purchased her own autonomy back from the industry. She’s resilient and has weathered numerous unfair attacks and blatant sexism in the media.
She makes a mockery of neckbeards pushing the narrative that women who don’t marry early, focus on a career, or own cats are going to be miserable and unhappy (and that’s why they really hate her). She’s determinably feminine and embraces it, refuting stereotypes that being so makes you weak or stupid. She’s unapologetically vulnerable and idealistic when women usually feel forced to sacrifice those attributes for success or to be taken seriously.
If you’re not able to pick up on all the weight of the Swiftie fandom just say you don’t get it and move on. Maybe it wasn’t for you.
damn men will really be like “I’m not ready for anything serious, we barely even know each other” when they’ve never asked you a single question about yourself and all you did was mention hanging out before 1am
Low key don’t even wanna be engaged anymore because im so sick of the "how's the wedding planning going?" question. its not going, and it will never be going, i have 3 fucking dollars to my name Susan!!!!
