We asked students at the University of Ibadan what influences their smartphone choices.
Is it affordability? Battery life? Camera quality? Storage? Or simply the brand name?
Different people have different priorities, but one question remains:

How important is location to the success of a small service business?
In this Nigeria Business Reality episode, we spoke with barbers in Lagos and Kano about choosing a location for a barbing business.
Their experiences highlight three factors:
Visibility. Foot traffic. Customer profile.
A high-traffic location may expose a business to more potential customers, but it can also mean higher rent. A quieter neighbourhood location may cost less but require more time to build a loyal customer base.
The interesting point is that “busy” alone may not be enough — the type of customer in that area also matters.
For business owners: would you pay a premium for location, or keep rent low and invest in building demand?

Can a good barber fail because of a bad location?
Barbers in Lagos and Kano say visibility, foot traffic and the type of customers around you can seriously affect a barbing business.
Would you pay higher rent for a busy main-road location, or choose a cheaper neighbourhood shop?
